Lamb and Chick Treat Holders

After 2 serious cards, and with it being such a serious day today, I thought you might like to see something 3-D and fun.

I like to have a little handmade something at each place setting at holiday dinners. It's fun for me to make, and fun for my guests. This year, Easter dinner will be just the 2 of us. Our girls are going to Pennsylvania and will be spending Easter weekend with my mother and brother, sister-in-law, and the 5 (maybe 6 by then) children. I know they are hoping the baby will be born while they are there. :) And because Easter is a Sunday, David will be exhausted so no random guests for us.

Anyway, even though it is just David and me at dinner, I still wanted to make something. I took my idea for This Project and made:

A Lamb Treat Holder

and a Chick Treat Holder
These are so easy to make. The only tip would be make sure they are wide enough at the bottom to hold your candy. I made the mistake of adhering the 2 bottom flaps a little to close and my candy didn't fit. So I just gently pulled them apart and reattached them!

My only dilemma was trying to make the lamb look masculine (he will be David's) and I don't think a blue bow is going to fly. Any suggestions are welcome.

All supplies are Stampin' Up!

Stamps: none
Cardstock: Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango
Ink: Daffodil Delight - for the chick's wings
Other: Big Shot, Scallop Circle Bigz Die, Background Texture Plate (for the lamb), Scallop Oval punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Small Oval Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1" Square Punch, Tangerine Tango Ribbon, Pool Party Ribbon, White gel pen

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping.

Lisa, Love your cute lamb and chick. What if you use white ribbon and just tie it so it lays flat, then cut the ends close so they don't hang down much. Then it will be closed but not a bow. So love your ideas here! Have a blessed Easter.

These are adorable! I think it's great that your dh's is a lamb, since David was shepherd. I do like the idea of doing it in gray if you have some going gray, or maybe sponge white ink on basic gray to soften. Or if you do the lamb in white, change the ear and nose parts to gray. Then maybe close with some hemp twine, or twill or something like that rather than ribbon.
